Porter House New York - New York
Formerly the executive chef at the prestigious "21" and Windows on the World restaurants, Michael Lomonaco opened his own restaurant in 2006. In less than a year of opening, Porter House New York received a number of accolades, including being named "Best New Restaurants 2007" by John Mariani of Esquire magazine.
Part of its allure is Lomonaco's take on a traditional steakhouse: big succulent meats in tandem with a premium seafood program. Highlights include starters such as filet mignon tartare and roasted beef marrow as well as entrees like Porterhouse for two, center cut veal chop and a butter-poached two-pound lobster.
