Rare 650 Prime Steak & Sushi - Syosset
Rare650's slick design draws inspiration from destinations in Miami or the Hamptons, boasting comfortable, energetic indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas with ultra-plush seating and dynamic accents.
It's from Anthony Scotto, who also owns Blackstone and Insignia, and it aims to redefine what is traditionally seen as a steakhouse. Rare650 follows its predecessors in that its inspired menu spotlights prime dry-aged steaks, seafood and a nice array of sushi creations.
Steakhouse favorites include prime filet mignon, char-grilled skirt steak and a juicy Porterhouse grilled to perfection. Or, non-steak diners may choose from an array of inspired New American cuisine, seafood and Mediterranean style fish.
Regular promotions are also a big draw at Rare650. For $99, two people can get a filet mignon and lobster dinner on Sundays or steak dinner (with choice of entrées, appetizer and dessert) on Tuesdays. There is also live jazz or R&B music on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
